NINGALOO SKY FESTIVAL SHINES BRIGHT AND EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS

The inaugural Ningaloo Sky Festival has concluded, leaving a trail of dazzling memories and overwhelmingly positive feedback, marking a spectacular initial event for the Exmouth community and its many visitors. The festival successfully blended awe-inspiring celestial wonders with a deep celebration of local culture, art, and lifestyle.

The heart of the festival's success lay in its diverse and engaging program, drawing enthusiastic crowds to a range of activities. With the major highlight being the community concert at Talanjee Oval, featuring an electrifying performance from headliners Eskimo Joe and the dynamic support act Feel Estate. Feedback on both acts has been overwhelmingly positive, contributing to an incredible atmosphere that resonated with attendees of all ages.

A truly defining moment was the specially curated drone show, "A Journey to Now." This elaborate aerial spectacle, developed in profound collaboration with local Traditional Owners, wove a visually stunning narrative of Exmouth's rich history against the vast, dark canvas of the Ningaloo night sky. It was a poignant and visually stunning tribute that deeply moved audiences.

The thoughtful curated line-up and activities beautifully enhanced what Exmouth is already renowned for: Its majestic whale sharks, breathtaking natural beauty, consistently beautiful weather, and the relaxed, high quality of life enjoyed by its residents. The festival showcased how the ancient stories of the land and the mysteries of the cosmos are intrinsically linked to Exmouth’s vibrant community spirit.

The success of this inaugural event would not have been possible without the invaluable contributions of our generous sponsors Lotterywest, Horizon Power, Santos and Inpex Joint Venture Participants in the Van Gogh development, the Gascoyne Development Commission, Tourism WA and Woodside, the support of the Exmouth Council in resurrecting a signature event for the town, as well as the talented artists who graced our stages and spaces, and of course, every visitor and local who came out to celebrate.

The Shire of Exmouth extends its heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed to making the 2025 Ningaloo Sky Festival a resounding success.
